Exercising daily really keeps the stress under control.
My absolute favorite thing to do at this time of year is when i get home from work, shopping whatever the hussle bussle is… I turn my christmas tree on and sit or lay infront of it just gazing into the lights… It always puts me in the right place I do it almost daily
My go-to method of de-stressing for the holidays or any occasion is to breathe deeply and mediate on something happy for even 5 seconds (or longer). I’ve just gotten into this meditation-thing and I can now start to understand what the hype is all about.
Well I sit in a nice hot tub and relax with a candle burning and think of my 5 grandchildren and the new one on the way. I don’t do this just at Christmas I do this all year round, when every things get really busy and I get stressed out.
I wrap presents. Until I realize that I’m simply procrastinating (curse you finals papers!). Then I stare at the tree or bake cookies. Thus far I haven’t worked out a strategy that will both keep me relaxed and keep me on schedule.
I light a scented candle and plug in my tree then sit and watch the twinkle with a cup of hot tea.
I usually get my birthday massage right before Christmas. I should get them more often!
I fill my bathtub with a ton of bubbles, light some holiday scented candles, and put some peaceful music. The most relaxing thing after a stressful day!
I just sit next to the fireplace and sip on some wines!! Also watch some movies.
Light some gingerbread cookie candles, relax next to a warm fireplace and read my favorite book ‘Pride & Prejudice’. My little kitty, Karma, will snuggle up next to me in the blanket and let me read to her. It’s her favorite book as well, and it always seems to put us into the right relax mood before and after all the little ones come over.
For me it’s soothing Christmas music, holiday lights and cookies!
With a good read, a cup of tea and some home baked cookies!
With a lil eggnog, a nice fire in the fireplace, and some relaxing Christmas music.
Taking a long hot bath!!
I always have a hard time to relax this time of year. Normally I would count on a bubble bath or a calm body scrub
SHORT ANSWER (the jist of it):
focusing on my spirit in terms of one’s “christmas spirit” they maintain
LONGER ANSWER:
deep breathing and daily stretching and a glittery candy apple red color polish for my pedicure and manicure to make me feel festive and sending christmas cards to people who i doubt will send me one but just letting them know i have a good spirit and wish them well. remembering the past and putting petty difference aside and also baking from scratch always does the trick
I clean out our family’s clothing, toys and toiletries (I have TONS that I can’t possibly use myself) and donate them. I find this relaxing because I love to clean and it makes room for all the generous gifts our kids get during the holidays. I finish off the night by taking a hot shower, putting on my Karin Herzog cream and burying myself in my new comforter.
I love to distress with Christmas music, my candles, a bath with salts and bubbles and my dogs by me♥
I destress by taking a long shower or playing with my dog.
I love drinking tea by a fire at my moms house, now that I’ve grown up and moved out i miss her during the holidays
I de-stress by spending time with the family during holiday festivities like setting up the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music by the fire!
This is a great giveaway! Every1 loves a calming candle!! Thanks for posting!
I take a step away, turn the phone off, grab a good book, light some candles and take a nice, long bath!!
bubble baths, green tea & watching tv in bed with my boyfriend is how i get rid of the holiday stress.
I sometimes take 1 day to myself, before xmas. I do nothing… or whatever I choose to relax. I kick up my feet , grab some hot choco and read a book!! That is my stress relief, thanks for a chance!
I received my sample introduction products – and love them! I’m excited about learning more about these products!
Curling up with my cats, and their purring is great for relaxing.
I make a large cup of vanilla chai, sit down in my favorite chair with my feet up and think about all the things I have to be thankful for. ( as opposed to focusing on things that went wrong that day) A relaxing candle and twenty minutes with my eyes closed can really change the way the rest of the evening goes!!
I like to have a warm bath with lots of bubbles, using aromatherapy bath products.
I go to do a Spa Day! Pedicure, manicure, facial, the whole works!! Total relaxation!!!
To relieve stress I feed and watch the wild birds outside my window each day. I now have wild turkeys around the feeders each morning. It is awesome to watch their behaviors!
this time of year I unwind with some good Christmas music, whether on the radio,on CD,or played by me on the piano.
I love to get home from work, light a candle, sit on the couch and read a magazine and relax. No noise, no tv on in the background. Just silence after a long day at work.
I get in my pj’s and grab some hot coco, and watch old movies by the fireplace!!
I step back from things, have a glass of wine and escape to my hottub.
I shut off the phone and take a warm bath in candlelight with peppermint bath salts, a glass of wine and a Do Not Disturb sign on the door
I take a nice warm shower, followed by making hot chocolate and wrap up in a blanket and watch a nice christmas movie.
Around Christmas time I love to volunteer at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, etc. Though it does take time away from doing the things that are needed, it reminds me how lucky I am to have the stresses that I do. The family for which to buy presents for and plan Christmas meal for. Friends for whom I have parties to attend. A job which I must continue to do through everything else that keeps me busy through the holiday season. Though it doesn’t get rid of the things that cause stress, it makes me more grateful for all I have, making those things I have to do less stressful.
Nice warm bath, a book, an aromatherapy candle and some hot chocolate!
I burn some candles, take a bath and fill it real high with a glass of wine.
