You still have time to ring in the New Year in style with a little bit of fashion advice and beauty tips from yours truly. I’m all about sparkle, especially diamonds and sequins, but there is an appropriate time and place to sparkle and New Year’s Eve is definitely one of those times! In addition to timing and place, there is an appropriate way to wear sequins. Don’t wear head-to-toe sequins—break it up with a solid color.
A loose, white blouse is perfection with sequined pants! The entire look costs under $100! Just throw on a pair of black pumps (open-toe or closed, that’s your decision) and I officially give you permission to leave the house!
An outfit like this doesn’t need much makeup. I’m all about the cat eye right now—it’s one of my favorite makeup trends because it’s edgy, but pretty and oh so sexy! I just bought this eyeliner from Hourglass; I’ve only used it once, but I really liked it! It was easy to use, even with my shaky hands, and helped create a fluid line. However, if you like color you could totally rock this ensemble with some bright eyeliner or create smoky eyes with plum eyeshadows (something a little different). Just make sure you apply LOTS of mascara to complete the look!

Fresh from the hoppin’ holiday party at jane iredale:
-The looks were eclectic, from chinese-inspired coat-dresses, to short and full minis;
-The heels were sky-high, which never diminished our enthusiasm for swing dancing lessons on the dance floor
-The cheeks were rosy (was that jsut the sub-zero tempperatures?) and the lips were glossy
-But the eyes had it from smokey charcoal to shimmering gold!
-The prettiest thing everyone wore? Enormous smiles!
