The dilemma- you want to look your best on vacation but need room in your luggage for the million shoes you packed. Here’s a list of beauty products and makeup tips that are easy to execute, barely take up space and will bring out your natural beauty while traveling. Remember, less is more when it comes to packing toiletries for a summer vacation or a weekend get-a-way.

Skincare Samples: I always scope out deals for free gifts or products that come with smaller samples. Reasons they’re great? First, you don’t have to worry about your full- size bottles of cleanser, moisturizer, shampoo, etc. exploding on the plane and ruining your cute summer dresses. Secondly, most samples have the perfect amount of product to get you through the weekend or week without much leftover. Best yet, they fit in your carry on! You’ll breeze through the security line leaving TSA  to hassle someone else.

Makeup Musts: Multi-functional products are great for traveling light. I use a 3-in-1 product which acts as my blush, eyeshadow and lipstick. Some lip tints can make great cheek stains or vice versa. Be creative ladies, think outside the box.  Another option is to leave most of your makeup at home and go au naturel. After all, waterproof mascara and lip gloss are all you really need to look fab on vacation!

Hair Care Tip: Leave the hair straightener at home and play up those natural sexy waves. If you’re spending a day at the beach, make sure you take a dip in the ocean before heading back to your hotel. Saltwater is a great wave/curl enhancer. Ladies’ Home Journal has great beach hair styling tips.  If your hair is super fine, a low ponytail with a side part will have you looking sexy in no time at all. You can even use hotel hand lotion as a “fly-a-way” or frizz-tamer instead of packing your usual serum. Remember, a little goes a long way.
