This is an ode to classic and unusual beauties out there. Here are some simple beauty tips (and reminders) on how to be a classic or unusual beauty from 2 of my favorites.
Classic: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
Why: Poise, Grace & Eye Liner
When you think of the 60s you instantly think of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ great sense of style. From head to toe, her looks became iconic. In terms of beauty, she kept it simple: clean skin, perfect hair and lined eyes.
How to get it:
Start by taking care of your skin. Find a skin care regimen that works for you and then find a great tinted moisturizer to show it off. My favorite is Smooth Operator SPF 20 Foundation by Tarte Cosmetics. It’s build-able coverage great for those days that my skin may not be Jackie O ready. Next line your eyes with a liquid liner (This is all the rage right now because classic looks never go out of style). A favorite of the glow staffers is Hourglass’s Calligraphy Liquid Eyeliner in Ebony. The tip of this liner helps you keep the line steady following the curvature of the eye, great tool for any beginner.
Unusual: Miss Piggy
Why: Pure confidence. Who can resist a woman who knows what she’s talking about?
How to get it:
Any woman can accomplish this look. It goes back to the basics: loving who you are, knowing what you stand for and never letting anyone step on your dreams. Take a queue from Miss Piggy, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.”
