Banish Acne: Skin Care Tips For Your Fight Against Acne

After reading Lauren and Michelle’s blog posts about acne and how to fight it, it got me thinking about my lunchtime ritual at the gym. This increase in fitness has been an increase in breakouts. Suited with the knowledge from my partners in crime I’m ready to knockout this acne by updating my gym bag and skin care routine with these crucial steps:

1. Shower after your workout

2. Witch Hazel pads
If your time is limited at the gym, use this tip I got from a yogi instruction I had a few years ago. He suggested in order to beat the sweat induced clogged pores keep a bag of cotton pads soaked in witch hazel to wipe down your face after. It’s gentle enough to clean the skin and not cause dryness.

3. Salicylic Acid
A must have for every gym bag. This spot treatment prevents blemishes from turning into real monsters.

4. Hair tie or sweat band
Keeping your hair pulled back off your face is a simple step to preventing breakouts, especially if you have bangs!
